The Qur’an conceptualizes nature as a realm of divine signs (ayat), designed not only to meet human needs but also to stimulate intellectual growth and spiritual awareness. This expanded study incorporates classical Islamic scholarship, modern philosophy of science, and contemporary Qur’anic exegesis to provide a deeper analysis of the epistemological structures embedded within the Qur’an. It evaluates divergent approaches to the so‑called “scientific verses,” reviews impediments to proper cognition, and examines the Qur’an’s integration of empirical observation, rationality, and revelation. The article concludes that the Qur’an promotes a balanced epistemology that supports scientific inquiry while safeguarding it from reductionist worldviews and uncritical assimilation of speculative scientific theories. بينما لا يُعَدّ القرآن الكريم دليلًا علميًا محضًا، فإنه يحتوي على أكثر من سبع مئة آية تشير إلى الظواهر الطبيعية، داعيًا باستمرار إلى التأمل والملاحظة والتفكير العقلي. ويصور القرآن الطبيعة باعتبارها مجالًا للآيات الإلهية، مصممة ليس فقط لتلبية احتياجات الإنسان، بل أيضًا لتحفيز النمو العقلي والوعي الروحي. وتستند هذه الدراسة الموسَّعة إلى التراث العلمي الإسلامي الكلاسيكي، وفلسفة العلوم الحديثة، والتفسير القرآني المعاصر، لتقديم تحليل أعمق للهياكل المعرفية المضمَّنة في القرآن الكريم. كما تقوم بتقييم المناهج المختلفة تجاه ما يُسمى بـ «الآيات العلمية»، وتستعرض المعيقات التي تعترض الفهم الصحيح، وتبحث في تكامل القرآن بين الملاحظة التجريبية والعقلانية والوحي. وتخلص الدراسة إلى أن القرآن يعزز منهجية معرفية متوازنة تدعم البحث العلمي، في الوقت الذي تحميه فيه من الرؤى التبسيطية ومن الاستيعاب غير النقدي للنظريات العلمية الافتراضية.
